Paul Dincer, Founder, Koko Monk Chocolates
Joanne Probyn has been an integral part of Koko Monk Chocolates’ success. I would recommend Joanne to anyone who wants to grow their business by creating a sophisticated, highly-focused brand. She has an outstanding ability to see the big picture of what a business needs and drives an innovative, solid strategic plan to completion. Moreover, she presented this larger landscape in manageable steps, helping us grow with our vision. She developed and executed both off- and online brand engagement campaigns leveraging social media, communications, public relations, media events and design. Joanne deploys relationship campaigns that have brought us closer to our community–customers, industry, media and bloggers alike. She counts companies like Vancity Credit Union and Digital Strategy Conference in her client base. I’d highly recommend Joanne to anyone who needs the very best in brand development, communications and social media execution.

ReadyGo Media is planning and promoting a special event on behalf of Koko Monk by Levni Chocolates. Our Exclusive Chocolate Tasting Night will mark the recent launch of Koko Monk’s first retail store.

The evening finishes with a taste of wine. Finally, guests will take home a special gift on behalf Kitsilano’s Yorkville neighborhood; a Koko Monk chocolate gift box, a complementary Suki’s Salon & Spa haircut (approx. value $100) and a $100 gift certificate courtesy Costen Catbalue Goldsmith & Design. The venue’s simple and modern floral designs will be provided with thanks to Hilary Miles Flowers, one of the most sought after florists in North America.
There are only twelve tickets available and they will go quickly. Guests must have an email invitation and need only receive an invitation and simply register at Event Brite to claim their complementary ticket. The email invitation is activated for one registrant only and cannot be used multiple times. Date and time are included in the invitation.

How to Record a Live Video Webcast Interview with Skype
Videos are shared on social media 12x more often than photos and images combined.*
Creating a webcast is smart marketing. It’s also easy and fun.
Here’s how to record a Skype interview on a Mac computer.
You’ll need:
- Skype. Install Skype to your laptop. Skype is VoIP software that lives in your Apps folder and allows you to have a free, live conversation with anyone who has an internet connection. How to install Skype on your iPhone
- Mac laptop. I used a MacBook Pro, including iSight (Apple’s internal webcam).
- Good lighting. Ideally, lamps are placed above, in front, and 45 degrees from your face. I used some multi-light floor lamps–which did the trick. It is best to use professional spotlights, if available. Natural lighting works but can be inconsistent.
- A good mic. It is worthwhile to invest in a mic. I purchased the Blue Snowball from Costco for $67.99. It is well designed with a modern 50s style. It easily switches from recording voice to music. Many say Blue Snowball is the best entry level, podcasting mic. It is recommended by Facebook expert Mari Smith. Results were well-rounded, clear sound. However, I did find it a bit soft. I’m sure with some more tweaking I can improve it. If you’re using an iPhone, a headset is much better than a built-in mic.
- Call Recorder by ecamm for $19.95 enables you to record video calls from within Skype. That may be enough. For the next quality level, you’ll need the following…
- Screenflow by Telestream for $99 for editing color, sound, and graphics. Save 10% by using the Telestream Screenflow discount code GEEK10OFF.
